How to Boost Momentum Now with 5 Key Strategies

🕒 5 min read | By Kerrie De Palma ~

No matter what you’re striving for, boosting and maintaining momentum is the key to your long-term success.

How to Boost Momentum Now with 5 Key Strategies:

Staying consistent isn’t always easy. We all hit slumps, face setbacks, and sometimes feel like throwing in the towel. So, how do we keep moving forward when motivation starts to fade?

I’ve asked myself this question countless times – back when I spent 23 years in the broking world and again when I transitioned into running my own business. In the broking world I maintained momentum by striving high and learning everything I could and sat in different positions within the business over time, which kept me motivated.  In my own business, I maintain momentum by remembering my WHY.  What my goals are, why I started, how I want to help people, leave a legacy for my children and make a difference.

In both cases, momentum was the driving force that kept me engaged, growing, and achieving my goals. Today, I want to share five key strategies that have helped me maintain momentum in all areas of life and how they can help you, too.

5 Key Strategies to Boost Momentum

1 – Set Intentional Goals

Momentum starts with clarity. Without a clear vision and direction, it’s easy to lose focus and motivation. Setting intentional goals means getting clear on what you truly want and why it matters to you.

Define goals that align with your values and purpose.

Break them down into smaller, actionable steps.

Regularly review and adjust your goals as needed.

When I first stepped out of the broking world, I had to redefine my goals. I wasn’t just working towards a paycheck anymore – I was building something meaningful. That shift in perspective keeps me going, even on the hardest days.

2 – Celebrate Small Wins

It’s easy to overlook progress when we’re chasing big goals, and celebrating small wins keeps the momentum alive. Every step forward is a victory, no matter how small.

Acknowledge your progress, no matter how small.

Keep a journal of achievements to reflect on when motivation dips.

Reward yourself in ways that reinforce positive habits.

I remember the first time a client told me that having their Hand Analysis Reading was a game-changer for them. Another client said Kerrie, ‘I’m frothing at the mouth as you tell me this stuff, I love it.’ It wasn’t a massive financial win, but it was confirmation that I was making a difference in their lives. Those types of moments fuelled my drive to keep going, even when business felt slow and I was starting out.

3 – Create a Support System

No one thrives in isolation. Surrounding yourself with the right people can make all the difference when it comes to staying on track.

Find a coach, accountability partners, mentors, or a community.

Lean on your support system when challenges arise.

Offer support to others – it creates a cycle of motivation and reciprocation.

When I left my secure job to start my business, I was quietly terrified. However, I found mentors, accountability partners and a community of like-minded people who lift me up when doubt creeps in. Having that support system has been Amazing as I started my business journey.

4 – Embrace Flexibility

Rigid plans can break under pressure, but flexibility allows you to adapt and keep moving forward. Life is unpredictable, and your ability to pivot will determine your long-term success.

Be open to adjusting your plans when needed.

Learn from setbacks instead of letting them derail you.

Stay curious and open to new opportunities.

When I first started coaching, I thought I had to do things a certain way. I soon realised that rigid expectations created frustration and stifled my creativity. The more I’ve adapted and trusted the process and in myself, the easier it has become to maintain momentum.

5 – Practice Consistency

Momentum isn’t about giant leaps, it’s about showing up day after day. Small, consistent actions build unstoppable energy over time – energy flows where energy goes.

Create daily or weekly habits that support your goals.

Stay committed, even when progress feels slow.

Trust that your effort will compound over time.

For me, consistency meant creating a schedule, entering it in the calendar and showing up; there is no snooze button. Whether it be my morning yoga, meditation, walking the dog, a healthy breakfast, 4.00 am Zoom training sessions, my client sessions, readings, or whatever was scheduled, I showed up to maintain momentum. Over time, those small efforts created a ripple effect, leading to more growth all around.

Bringing It All Together

Maintaining momentum isn’t about waiting for motivation to strike, because motivation is a temporary state and can fade; it’s about building habits that keep you moving forward.

These five strategies will boost your momentum and help you stay on track, no matter the  journey you’re on:

✨  Set intentional goals that align with your purpose.

✨  Celebrate small wins to stay motivated.

✨  Create a support system to keep you accountable.

✨  Embrace flexibility and adapt to challenges.

✨  Practice consistency – small steps lead to big results.

Whether you’re working towards career, business success, better health, relationships, personal growth, habits or aligning with your life purpose, the key is to stay committed to the process. And if you ever feel stuck, remember, you don’t have to navigate the journey alone.

As a Holistic Life Purpose Coach and Hand Analyst, I help people gain clarity, confidence, and deeper insight into their path. If you’re ready to realign with your purpose, send me a message. I’d love to support you.

Momentum is a choice. The question is: What small step can you take today to keep moving forward? And when you make that choice and that commitment to yourself or to others, don’t give up, keep going…

Until next time, my wish for you is that you Do What You Love and Live Your Best, Abundant Life!
